As I am settling into the quarter and setting intentions and goals, there is an important step I do and want to share with you.

I clear the energy in my office space. So much happens in my office in 90 days with meetings, phone calls, and lots of energy work that it is always good to cleanse the space.

Cleansing energy is a very old practice that has been used for centuries. The Egyptians do it by using oils and Native Americans do it with burning herbs, known as smudging. I cleanse using the herb method which was blessed to me in a sacred ceremony from a Native American woman. I hold this blessing with high reverence.

I know some of you have questions, and others may even be eye-rolling the concept of clearing your space. Clearing space has become a mainstream tool, just as the word manifest has, I invite you to explore this topic by clicking on the links below and learning the meaning and sacredness behind it.

This past year had all of us pivoting and making major changes. We found ourselves in make-shift home offices while kids were finding a room to use as their classroom. We’ve all heard how scientists are studying this and wondering what kind of effect it will have on us. Below are some great articles validating the positive impacts of clearing the energy vibration of your space. I hope you find them to be very educational and informative.

As an entrepreneur, I find this routine just as important as filing my quarterly taxes and reconciling my accounts. When I cleanse my space, I like to use different herbs.

  1. Burning bundles of dried herbs – sometimes called smudge sticks – has been a part of many spiritual traditions dating back millennia and connects all traditional cultures, from Native Americans to the Druids, from the Zulus to the Maoris, from Aboriginals to the Mayans, from the Chinese to the Balinese, all of which have age-old forms of cleansing and blessing rituals involving the burning of aromatic botanicals.
  2. Sometimes I use Sage. Sage is commonly used by Native Americans and is a great cleansing tool as it clears away negative energies and purifies the air. When I burn a sage stick, it leaves a room with heavy smoke making it feels denser to me for clearing a space! When I burn sage to clear out a space, I open a window to assist with the clearing. It is a MUST that you add good energy vibes and set intentions for what you want to attract back into your space. If you don’t, you are essentially leaving your energy naked for anything to come and settle in. I add good vibes by burning incense or using doTERRA oils in my diffuser and on my body. More on this technique in this article here.
  3. Other times, I use a Palo Santo stick, derived from South America and Mexico. Palo Santo literally means holy wood. It purifies, adds good energy, and smells amazing. I like it to clear away stuck, heavy dense energies in a room or around your body. For me, this has a sweeter scent and a lighter smoke.
  4. My most recent addition came from when I visited my brother in New Mexico and we went to Ojo Caliente for a day and soaked in the natural hot mineral springs. I kept smelling this wonderful sweet smell burning in the fires around the lush properties. I found out they burn Pinon, also known as Pine. Pine is an herb for drawing long-term prosperity, reversing negativity, protecting from illnesses, and cleansing from negative influences. When I learned this, you bet I began using it regularly as an entrepreneur to bring in opportunities and prosperity.
